Past Wolves

Over 30 wolves have called the Wolf Watch sanctuary their home, some of these exquisite wolves have passed on, but we never forget each of these individual beautiful animals.

Past Wolves

Callow

Callow is an attractive, kind natured female born 2007 at the West Midlands Safari Park. She arrived at Wolf Watch in 2010 following a dominance fight with other members of her pack which saw her badly injured. Callow has developed a close bond with Pepe and lives harmoniously in an enclosure together.

Past Wolves

Kgosi

Kgosi was a proud handsome wolf, his greying coat (once black) and softer personality took nothing away from his unmistakable status within the pack. Kgosi spent his time with sibling Madadh and they lived together with hardly a day apart in their two and a half acre enclosure. Sadly, Kgosi passed away 23/05/2017.

Past Wolves

Madadh

Madadh along with her brother Kgosi spent all of their lives at Wolf Watch and both attained an outstanding age. They probably did more in their lifetimes to educate the public and dispel the myths that surround the wolf, touching the hearts of everyone that they came into contact with and were in every sense true ambassadors for the whole of their species. Madadh passed away in the arms of Tony who raised her from being an 8 day old pup on 30 October 2017.

Past Wolves

Pepe

Pepe was a male Timber Wolf, born to the West Midlands Safari Park Wolf Pack on 4th March, 2004. Following a dominance fight within his pack, Pepe appeared to emerge ‘second best’, and was isolated to diffuse pack tensions and recover from some minor injuries before coming to us. Pepe unfortunately passed away on the 1st of April 2017.

Past Wolves

Poppy

Poppy – a stunning wolf with an almost pure white coat – arrived at Wolf Watch UK in November 2010, she was 4 years old and like Pepe, had been part of the West Midlands Safari Park pack. The circumstances of her transfer to WWUK was as a result of a dominance fight after which the park’s manager Bob Lawrence felt it in the best interest of the animal to find a new home rather than risk further injury. Sadly, Poppy passed away 25/01/2020.
